HIROTEC to Build a New Exhaust Production and Stamping Facility in Fayetteville, Tennessee

Auburn Hills, MI., August 19, 2019 – HIROTEC Group, a global automotive supplier specializing in the production of body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, and closure manufacturing equipment, announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art exhaust production and stamping facility in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

HIROTEC Manufacturing America LLC, a new subsidiary of HIROTEC AMERICA, finalized the purchase of 34 acres of land in the Runway Center Industrial Park in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The new building will contain approximately 138,000 square feet of exhaust production and stamping space to support a local automotive manufacturer, with future expansion capabilities of an additional 138,000 square feet. Start of production is scheduled to begin 2021.

“This is an exciting time for HIROTEC, as we bring our exhaust manufacturing and stamping expertise to the US for the first time,” said Katsu Uno, Chairman and CEO of HIROTEC AMERICA. “This expansion is important for us to continue meeting the needs of our customers, and it also brings us one step closer to becoming an industry leader in stamping and assembly like our parent company, HIROTEC Corporation in Japan.”

HIROTEC’s expansion will create $48 million in capital investment and over 100 new jobs. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held this month with the grand opening expected to take place at the end of 2021.

“I would like to thank the city of Fayetteville, Lincoln County, and state of Tennessee for welcoming HIROTEC so warmly,” said Bernie Sinz, Vice President of HIROTEC Manufacturing America. “With a strong and talented workforce in Fayetteville and surrounding areas, HIROTEC Manufacturing America is thrilled to expand our operations to Tennessee and deliver high quality exhaust systems and stampings to local customers.”
